Catalpa Worm Fishing

  • Aired: 10/25/2015
  • 25:32
  • Rating: NR
The use of the Catalpa Worm as fish bait may be as old as the American Indian groups who once populated Alabama. The caterpillar of the Catalpa Sphinx Moth seems irresistible to the fresh water fish of southern lakes and streams. Biologist Pete Van Zandt of Birmingham Southern College leads us on an exploration of the life cycle of this caterpillar. Hosted by Joey Brackner.
