HELICOPTER TRAGEDY; LOCAL POLITICS; FLOATING SUBWAY STATION? THE CHANCELLOR’S CHALLENGES

A helicopter crash in the East River killed five people, but the pilot walked away safely. Former Nassau County Executive, Ed Mangano, now he faces federal corruption charges. The MTA will need to shut down the L train between Manhattan and Brooklyn for a projected 15 months beginning in April 2019. A change at the helm of New York City schools is underway.
