How is our medical model structured?
Symptoms.
Okay.
Plus, my doctor is trained to not make me uncomfortable.
Okay.
Trying to not make me uncomfortable.
So if my blood pressure is running a bit high, the doctor pats me on hands.
Run.
I'll keep an eye on.
Okay.
My cholesterol is running a little high.
We'll keep an eye on it.
No, The doctor will be reading you the riot act.
Do you realize that every point that your blood pressure is up over 120, over 80, every point that it goes up, it's damaging the arteries.
Are you aware that your cholesterol is far higher than it ought to be?
Okay.
But we don't get this kind of feedback.
But the average person doesn't understand any of the issues for quite a while.
I was I was asked to go around the country and make input to wellness program, and I would get a call from somebody in Omaha.
They've got a big company there and they've invested $1,000,000 in a beautiful gym and they've hired people and nobody's interested in their wellness program.
So why is that?
Why go out there and you look around and invariably the issue was all of their effort was on how how to do it.
Well, if you don't deal with why why do you need to be here?
Why do you need to do X, Y, and Z?
I don't give a darn about how to do it.
If I don't know why I need to do it.
And there was the biggest problem.
There's no way in this country we don't know why.
So when you when you say to somebody, exercise, why?
Why should I do it?
Well, how much time do you do?
You have a couple of hours to talk about all of the issues because it's just not going to work to tell people exercise.
Obviously, it's not going to work to tell people to eat properly.
We are amazingly with all of the social media we have and we have I don't know, geez, on our TV where we get 300 channels.
I mean, you know, we have so much information that we have no information.
We have no information.
I mean, we are ridiculously poorly informed when it comes to preventive medicine and how to stay healthy.
