- Hello.
We have some ideas of how to make less trash.
May, you go first.
- Okay, here's an idea.
When you're coloring a picture and you mess up and you go, "Oh no, yikes, I need new paper!"
Don't throw it in the trash.
You can cut it up into little shapes and make a collage.
- Hey, that's a great idea.
- Good idea, May.
- Thank you.
- Okay, I got one.
- [May] Yeah?
- So, okay.
You know how sometimes you eat a ham sandwich for lunch?
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
- Yeah.
- Well, okay.
Instead of putting your sandwich in a plastic baggie that you throw away, then you put it in a plastic container thingy instead, and you bring it home so you can wash it and use it again.
- Great idea, Gerald.
- Okay, here's another idea.
Tell your big brother or your big sister not to throw out their favorite shirt when it gets too small, because you can wear it.
- That's a good one.
- [Kids] Yeah.
- Next time you have a picnic, instead of using paper plates and throwing them away, use plastic plates you can wash. - Good idea!
- Good idea, Sid.
- And those are our ideas.
- [Kids] To make less trash!
(kids laughing)
