Oh!
I wonder what the boss wants.
Nope, nope, answering the hotline just stresses me out.
Whatever he wants, it can probably wait.
Om... Ah!
Well, maybe I'll just tell him to call back after... ( grunting ) ( yelling ) Mud!
I can't see.
( screams ) Hello.
Pizza Shack?
No, I didn't order a large pie with pepperoni and... Oh, meatballs?
Really?
Oh, all right, well, send it over.
Man, this relaxation thing's harder than I thought.

Hello, and welcome to FETCH!
with Ruff Ruffman... What's up with the...?
...a new reality game show where today the contestants-- that is you-- will find your inner Zen, your inner calm, your inner rhythm.
You will become one with nature.
Om... What are you doing?
What is up with that?
I'm doing a little meditation.
Hang on.
( chanting ) I love cats.
What?
I almost believe that.
Anyway, namaste, Fetchers.
Namaste.
Namaste.
What exactly does that mean?
According to the dictionary, Namaste means "Hello" in Sanskrit.
That's in the dictionary.
So you guys excited for a new show?
Yeah.
I don't want you to get too excited, though, because today we are going to be chill.
We are learning about relaxation, things that keep us calm.
That is the theme of today's show, except for a couple of parts in the show, it's going to get a little nutty.
You know, one or two parts, a little crazy.
You guys just relax.
Ah!
Very nice.
You're putting Julia to sleep.
Julia, wake up.
Wake up.
Don't get that relaxed.
So, guys, today's challenge, we have a six-person challenge.
You're all going out today.
Sweet.
Awesome.
Your challenge begins by a serene pond with the serene Tara, who will be introducing you to the sun itself.
It's awesome.
Bring sunglasses.
( all laugh ) You're going to find the details of your challenge in the mailbox.
You know where to go.
Let's go, guys.
Go fetch.
Let's get out of here.
See you later, Ruff.
See you, guys.
See you later.
Have fun.
See you when you get back, nice and relaxed.
So what's at stake for the Fetchers?
Uh, nothing really, except 100 points in the Triumph Tally.
So let's catch up with those crazy kids now.
Are you Tara?
I am Tara.
Ruff told me that you guys do a lot of challenges.
Oh, that's an understatement.
When you're practicing yoga, you're challenging your mind to stretch out a little bit, not just your body.
So if you're not comfortable crossing your legs, you can sit on your knees.
This is called the Hero Pose.
Yes, the Hero Pose.
And one of the things we're going to do is find our heart rate.
Your heart rate is the number of times your heart beats each minute.
So you can use your right wrist, finding your pulse.
See, every time your heart beats, it pushes blood through your body and you can feel it as a pulse under your skin.
Another option is to use your throat.
Does anybody have a watch on?
I've got a watch.
Yes, thank you, Anna.
She has her trusty watch.
Go.
Done.
Khalil, what was your number?
24.
And yours?
25?
Yup.
So you can multiply that by four and that will give you your heart rate in a resting position.
Okay, so they counted their pulse for 15 seconds and now they multiply that by four to get the number of times their heart beat in one minute.
Ninety-six.
Mine was 100.
TARA: So that's your pulse in resting position.
So the first thing we're going to do is something that all ancient yoga practitioners did, which was to honor the sun.
So they created a series of 12 poses that's called the Sun Salutation.
So we'll do the Sun Salutation and then we'll take our heart rate again and see if it's changed.
Yep, your pulse rate usually goes up when you're moving around or when you're nervous or scared.
Never happens to me, of course.
( meowing ) So you bring your hands together to form a flame of light.
So we're going to take a deep breath in and take a breath out.
We're going to see if we can start to increase our heart rate.
Raise your arms up.
Paws up.
Really push your fingers up and push your toes down.
I don't have any fingers, but I'm raising.
Fold forward.
Bring your right foot back.
( grunts ): There we go.
Bring your right knee down and then pull your knees up.
All right, knees up.
Ow, my neck hurts.
Pull your elbows way back, spread your paws out in the downward-facing Dog Pose.
And lift your hips up like you have a big, long dog tail.
Push your toes straight back and be a cobra.
Release your arms down, bring your hand to your neck.
All right, here we go, pulse-check time.
15 seconds now.
Okay, so take your number and multiply it by four.
I got 32.
So 128, yeah.
I get 136.
Wow!
Their heart rates really went up!
They're working hard.
So now that we've gotten our heart rate up, we're going to do the Crow Pose.
Bring your hands down and hop your feet together.
Bring your toes together, your knees apart and climb.
Whoa!
There goes Anna.
Great.
Oh!
Ow!
I did it.
I'm doing it!
Hey, Ruff, what's up?
( laughs ) We're going to finish with relaxation-- the Ocean Wave.
Oh, this looks good.
Just take a deep breath.
We're going to create a big wave.
And just imagine that you are at the beach.
Ah, the kids are lowering their heart rates by thinking about the beach.
The way that we end yoga is to go back to the flame of light.
And the word that we use is "namaste."
Namaste.
( phone rings ) Hello.
Hi, there, Anna.
Oh, hey, Ruff.
Well, I hope you guys feel refreshed and relaxed because now I'm going to send your pulses racing!
I'm sending you guys to the amusement park, and your challenge is to figure out which ride is the wildest.
The next challenge is to find the wildest ride at the amusement park.
What?
Are you serious?
Let's go, let's go!
BRIAN: Look, a note.
A note from Ruff.
It says, "Welcome, Fetchers.
"Chris, your expert, is waiting for you at... Pirata.
Go find him.
"Let's go.
ANNA: Hey, are you Chris?
I'm Chris.
Yes!
How are you, Chris?
Well, I hear you guys were treated to a really relaxing morning.
KIDS: Yeah.
So you must be ready to get your pulses going.
Oh, yeah!
Excellent, because your next assignment is to figure out which ride is the wildest.
And you've got three rides to test.
The Pirata... RUFF: Oh, yeah.
The Corkscrew roller coaster... Oh, yeah!
And DaVinci's Dream.
( Ruff howls ) You're going to be broken into two teams: Anna, Taylor and Brian; and Noah, Julia and Khalil.
All right.
Each team has to design a test to test wildness and you have to give me a graph that shows me your data.
They all look pretty wild to me.
This is going to be tough.
Do you have any ideas about what makes a ride wild?
Spin, height.
How many times you get twirled in the air.
Speed.
Speed.
Motion-sickness factor.
Well, sickness is kind of a cool idea, although I don't know if we want to graph that.
But it's a really cool thing because it's your body reacting to the forces on the ride.
You've learned that you can affect your pulse rate, right?
Yeah.
But the ride might be able to affect it even more.
We could, like, do our pulse before we get on and after we get on and see how much it changes.
That's very cool.
How about some other of those ideas?
What can you actually measure?
Miles per hour.
Do you know how to measure that?
You could find out how long the roller coaster is and then see how long it takes the roller coaster to go that many feet.
How about, kind of, you know, those rides that throw you all around?
You could put, like, water in a cup or something and see how much is left after the ride's over.
See how many, like, milliliters are gone and how many inches from the cup are gone.
You could do five lines and then measure it one to five, like how much water it lost.
So in your two teams, what you have to come up with is one test each that we can use for all of the rides.
And I've got a whole bunch of materials here-- boxes, funnels, confetti, streamers, some timers.
So why don't you break into your two teams and come up with some ideas?
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
We should measure heart rate.
Yeah.
RUFF: Okay, so they're going to measure heart rate.
They think the wildest ride is the one that will increase their heart rate the most.
( meows ) Stopwatch?
Do we have a stopwatch?
Oh, sweet.
All right, there is.
First, let's measure each of your pulses now, before you're all nervous.
Find your pulse.
We do 15 seconds.
RUFF: All right, now time for a quick 15-second pulse check.
23.
Okay.
So the resting pulse is 92 beats per minute.
So now what we can do is we can make a graph that shows resting pulse, pulse after Pirata, pulse after Corkscrew and pulse after DaVinci's Dream.
It was 92, right?
Yeah.
So, when are you going to measure your pulse?
We should do it, like, as soon as, like, right after...
Okay, so as soon as you can when the ride ends.
I think bumpiness is... Yeah, bumpiness would probably be the best.
This team is going to measure bumpiness.
How do you want to measure it?
We could do the water idea.
Yeah, I think your idea, like you said, with the cup and the water.
Here's a cup.
If worse comes to worse, we can use this instead of water.
The thing about confetti is we can clean it up when we're done.
...box or something.
That's true.
Tape this cup down here and then pour like a little amount of confetti and we could even just like, close the lid.
First we should probably mark the cup up.
So now what we just got to do is tape the meter right into here.
And then when we're first going onto the ride, we'll fill up the confetti to this mark right here.
Very good, and you've got a line up at the top that all of the confetti can go to between the rides.
So you have the same amount of confetti on each ride.
All right, their test is about ready.
TAYLOR: I'm not going up.
I'll write down the data.
You guys can yell it to me.
Taylor, want to make, like, a chart or something we can use?
Sure.
Ah, Taylor has decided that she will hold the graph and do all the measurements.
That's a very smooth way of getting out of going on all those rides, Taylor.
Nicely done.
You're going on the Pirata, right?
And the Corkscrew, DaVinci's... DaVinci's Dream.
So I'm going to put one through ten on this side and then I'm going to draw a bar to whatever reading we have.
Sounds great.
Do you want to name our contraption?
Yes.
Something to do with Ruff, because we love him so much.
Oh, Taylor!
The RCC.
The Ruff Confetti Contraption.
"How Ruff is your ride?"
So, Brian, you think we should test it?
Yeah, we should.
Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seat belt.
This ride's going to be wild.
ANNA: I'm glad I'm not on that ride.
Stop!
That was extreme.
Let's see.
And... BRIAN: All of it's gone.
The cup is empty!
That was a rate-10 ride.
And now the first ride, the Pirata.
Good luck, guys.
Don't get sick, Brian.
Welcome to the pirate ship.
There's absolutely no standing while the ride's in motion.
Enjoy your ride.
Brian, hold on to that thing!
Wait.
That guy's sitting on the edge.
( whooping ) Oh, that's part of the ride.
( laughs ): Oh, right.
Now it gets a little nerve-wracking.
Oh, look at that thing go.
Whoo!
Oh!
Oh, yeah.
Okay!
Oh, man.
Oh, my goodness.
Ruff, I'm getting sick just looking at them.
Yeah, you're getting sick, I'm getting sick and I'm in the studio.
Ride is over.
15 seconds, check the pulse.
Twenty-one.
Let's see how much confetti came out.
It's at three.
The confetti's at three.
ANNA: Yup, it's definitely three.
TAYLOR: So it's three?
One, two, three.
So it'd go right here.
All right, so, you guys, my pulse for 15 seconds was about 21.
Okay, they've decided to use Khalil's pulse for their chart.
Eighty-four?!
Wait a minute.
Khalil's heart rate is even lower.
I think that ride bored him.
Now it's time for the Corkscrew.
TAYLOR: Guys, it may be the last time we speak and I just want you guys to know that I love you all dearly.
JULIA: Have fun!
TAYLOR: I love you, okay?
BRIAN: I just want to say one thing, Ruff.
I love you...!
I love you, too!
( shrieks ) Upside down, baby!
Upside down, Ruff!
( Ruff shrieking ) Whoo!
BRIAN: That was awesome, Ruff.
KHALIL: Noah, are you ready?
One, two, three, go.
Now they're checking their pulses.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm going to check my pulse, too.
What did you get?
I got 30.
So did I. Julia, I got 30.
It's a six.
Whoa.
Six!
Taylor, it was at six.
Six?
Okay, so one, two, three, four, five, six.
So you guys both have 30?
Yeah.
30 heartbeats in 15 seconds equals 120 heartbeats in a minute.
Wow.
JULIA: So you went from 84 to 120.
And now to DaVinci's Dream.
( kids whoop and shriek ) Brian has the RCC.
Ooh, you guys are so high up.
( whooping ) Look at them going around.
Ruff!
Ruff!
Oh, pulse, Noah.
Wow.
Okay, 15 seconds.
Twenty-seven.
Hey, Ruff, that was cool.
So, what did you guys get for a pulse?
Twenty-seven.
Ooh, hey.
108 beats per minute.
That's pretty good.
Oh, it's a one.
It's a one.
Wow, it didn't move a lot.
See, so one is right here.
Now it's time for the contestants left behind to earn some points of their own in the Half-Time Quiz Show.
Oh, yeah, everybody's out on the challenge.
Well, I guess I could take the Half-Time Quiz myself, while I practice some relaxing.
Okay.
Question one.
How did you come up with such a great grand prize, Ruff?
Oh, well, I, uh... ( gasps ): Oh, no!
Dohh!
I forgot about the grand prize-- again!
Oh, now how am I ever going to relax?
Don't panic.
Come on, remember?
Calm... breathe... ( panting ) Okay, here's what we'll do.
We'll ignore it.
Ha-ha!
Great!
Back to the challenge.
Okay, so.
Hey.
What's up, Chris?
What did you find?
This is the Pirata ride.
This is the Corkscrew ride.
And this is DaVinci's Dream ride.
Yeah.
And we have the confetti levels right here.
And we figured out that Corkscrew is, like, the most... turbulent or whatever we want to call it.
DaVinci's dream was the least, and Pirata was right in the middle.
Why do you think that DaVinci's Dream was the least?
The only tip they had was like really, really slight so the cup wouldn't notice.
And the Corkscrew was just crazy.
I mean, like, it flipped upside down.
It went everywhere.
And the Pirata, it was, like, right in the middle.
Just slow, but it did jump a little bit.
What was this, a six?
Yeah.
CHRIS: You said that it flipped you upside down.
So, if everything fell out of the cup, it would have been a ten, right?
But then when it flipped over again, some of the stuff that was on the top went back into the cup.
So maybe if it wasn't in a box-- right?-- you would have lost it.
If you had to do it again, would you change anything?
If we had, like, an unlimited supply of confetti, and it didn't matter if we got anything dirty, I think I would do it without the box.
Do you have your results done?
JULIA: The pirate ship, we got 84.
It went even lower than our resting pulse.
CHRIS: Wow.
JULIA: When we took it, it wasn't as intense, so it was going slow at that point.
NOAH: On these, it was intense till the end.
The Corkscrew was definitely the wildest ride.
The only ride where we went upside down.
In DaVinci's Dream, it kind of just keeps you at one speed.
You get used to it.
I think that if we could do it again, I'd go on the Pirata and do it as soon as it stops going.
CHRIS: Maybe right when you're up at the top at the highest point, yeah.
Definitely, you guys have shown that the Corkscrew roller coaster raised your pulse the most, so it must be the wildest ride.
So you've got some different data here.
But can you come to a conclusion about what was the wildest ride?
ALL: Definitely the Corkscrew.
RUFF: It's the Corkscrew!
We have a clear-cut winner.
( phone rings ) Hello.
Hey, Brian, it's Ruff.
What's up, Ruff?
Nicely done.
So it looks like the Corkscrew is the wildest ride.
Definitely.
It goes upside down, confetti everywhere.
Definitely the Corkscrew.
And the wilder the ride, the higher your pulse.
Now I've got the ultimate challenge for you.
I'm sending you over to the Starblaster.
It's a really wild ride.
Just thinking about it is going to send your pulses soaring.
But this time, you're not going to be testing the ride.
You're going to be testing your body.
Now, it's time to use some of your yoga techniques to bring your heart rate down.
Chris has got some Pulse-O-Meters for you to wear that measure your heart rate.
The team that gets their pulse below 100 the fastest gets the most points.
And then, and only then, if you get your pulses below 100, I'm going to blast you into the sky!
All right, first team up is Anna and Noah.
104.
Dude, you got to calm down.
You're doing pretty good.
What they have to do is lower their heart rate to below 100.
How are you doing, Noah?
101, 103, 104, 105, 106... Noah, stop shaking your feet.
It might help.
See, Anna, you're all set.
99!
99!
96.
94.
Okay, he's good... All right, 18 seconds.
Hey, Noah, I'm ready.
I'm under 100, but I don't really want to ride this thing.
What?!
Let's see if the second team is a little braver.
You're at 120.
Breathe in, Taylor.
Breathe... Khalil, she's at 113.
Okay, it's taking them longer than Anna and Noah.
Been about a minute already.
Okay, you're below.
Stay calm.
It's at 80... 81.
Yes!
Yeah!
All right, it took them two minutes and 31 seconds.
Hey, Julia, do you want to go on the ride?
Nah.
I'm not going to go.
Me neither.
Let's go.
Wait.
What?
Wait!
What?
Oh, Brian and Khalil, please save the show.
Let's go, guys.
You're at 116.
Ready?
You're at 97, 98, 94, 96...
Okay.
Relaxing.
Come on, guys.
It's already been a couple of minutes here.
Relax.
Come on, Brian.
Calm down.
Eight minutes!
Come on, Brian.
Brian.
Come on, Brian.
We're losing points every second.
99, 98...
Yes!
There we go.
All right.
Finally.
Nine minutes and 18 seconds.
Come on, guys.
Please go for the ride.
Brian, you ready?
Let's ride this thing!
All right, let's go.
They're both going to go.
Yes!
And up they go!
And down.
See?
That wasn't... now they're going back up!
Okay.
That was awesome.
Hope you're enjoying the amusement park.
Since you guys have been doing such a great job today, I've got one more surprise for you.
After a long day of thrilling rides, several yoga positions, judging exciting roller coasters, it's time to bring it down and relax again.
I'm getting relaxed just watching these kids be relaxed.
Thank you guys so much.
Well, here's a gift.
Thanks a lot, Ruff.
You're the best dog in the world.
I am the best dog.
And I want to thank you, Anna, for pointing that out.
Anna, Khalil, Julia, Brian, Noah, Taylor, get in here!
Hey, hey!
Namaste.
Namaste, Fetchers.
Namaste.
I see you have some nice gift bags.
Yes, we do.
Got anything for the old Ruff man?
Ah!
Noah, thank you.
That's right.
Drop it right in the mailbox there.
Hey, I just want you guys to know, even though you bring me back stuff from time to time, I hope you don't think you can butter me up with, you know... ( gasps ): Oh, my goodness!
Oh, it's a cucumber face peel.
Oh!
Chamomile massage oil.
Oh, a back scrubber!
Oh, thanks, guys.
I really appreciate it.
Well, what do you say?
How about some points?
Oh, yeah!
TARA: Bring your hands together to form a flame of light.
RUFF: You guys became one with nature.
Ow!
My neck hurts.
Or, if you didn't, at least you learned the Downward Dog and did some awesome headstands.
Oh!
Awesome.
Now, I asked you to determine the wildest ride.
Thanks to your clever and intrepid testing, I know now never to get on that Corkscrew thing.
Awesome!
Now, were your tests perfect?
No.
Not really.
No.
A good, honest answer.
But for... Nice!
And, in the race to get your pulses below 100... You've got to calm down.
It took you guys almost ten minutes to get your pulses down.
But you get ten additional points for being the only team to ride the Starblaster.
TAYLOR: Awesome job, guys.
Which brings our grand total to...
FETCH 3000?
And that's how it stacks up this week, but is that all the points a dog can give?
ALL: No!
What time is it?!
ALL: Bonus points!
Yes.
Bonus points are in the house, and today's bonus points go to my favorite moment of the day.
Not only was Brian collecting data in the box between his knees, he kept a running commentary for the whole ride.
BRIAN: Go, go, go, go, baby!
Which means Brian is today's daily winner.
Yeah, Brian!
Now, Brian, for being the daily winner, the daily prize is waiting for you.
You can accept the prize or have one of your fellow contestants take it instead.
What do you want to do, Brian?
Take it!
Take it!
It's your choice, Brian.
I'll go for it.
Go, Brian, go!
Brian, you don't need to go to the mailbox for this one.
Let the prize descend!
( all exclaim ) It's a yoga ball!
So awesome!
That's right!
It's a yoga ball.
They're great.
I have one myself.
Let me show you how it's done.
You've just got to roll back... Ruff, be careful.
( screams ) ALL: Ohh!
All right, gang.
While I'm down here waiting for my chiropractor, I'm going to say good-bye, and thanks for another awesome episode.
Bye, Ruff!
Thanks for the yoga ball.
Take care.
See you later, Ruff.
Ah!
I'm finally relaxed.
I'm so glad I figured out what to do about that grand prize.
Oh, wait a minute.
I didn't figure it out at all; I ignored it!
( groans ) Yikes!
And that's the hotline.
Oh.
Henry's going to want to know what the grand prize is.
Okay, mechanical masseuse, that's enough.
I...
I said that's enough!
Hey!
( groaning ): Help!
Get off of me!
Okay, one last thing.
