Lower Alabama native and writer Margaret Renkl discusses her book, Late Migrations
Coping with enormous grief over her parents’ deaths, Margaret Renkl accidentally wrote a book. Promising herself some time every day, Renkl says, “It was more of a meditative practice. Something just for me, just to make me feel better.” Late Migrations is the culmination of that practice: a loving ode to her family, the Alabama landscape that cradled them, and the natural world.
